Nevada Heat Treating, Inc. (Carson City, NV) has purchased
their third new Ipsen TurboTreater™ Vacuum Furnace from
Ipsen, Inc. The Model H5448-2Bar unit features many recent Ipsen
improvements that characterize their newer furnaces. It is cooled by a new
Dry Coolers, Inc. closed-loop water cooling system.

Inland Northwest Metallurgical Services, Inc. (Spokane, WA) is
currently more than doubling the size of their building facility.
Completion is expected before fall. Inland is adding two vacuum furnaces
to their facility as well to make a total of 5. Mike Oliver has been
promoted to Operations Manager according to Dan Tabish, President of INMS.
Congratulations, Mike! A new Dry Coolers, Inc. consolidated water
cooling pumping station will cool all of the furnaces in their new location.

Cascade Metallurgical, Inc. (Kent, WA) is increasing their
atmosphere furnace capacity to handle their ever-growing business volume in that
area. Upgraded, state-of-the-art Super Systems, Inc. controls are being
retrofitted to Cascades atmosphere furnace lines.

Met-Tek, Inc. (Clackamas, OR) Owner Jerry Shriner has continued to
invest in the future with
the purchase of a new Beavermatic atmosphere integral
quench furnace that will be installed this fall.
The addition of another vacuum furnace brings Met-Tek's

Pacific Metallurgical, Inc. (Kent, WA) has purchased
neighboring Almet. This adds aluminum heat treating capabilities to
PacMet's already wide range of services.

Stack Metallurgical Services, Inc. (Portland, OR):
With increased emphasis on lean manufacturing, Stack has put Marlin Christ in
charge of this area of the company. Stack has also purchased and is in the
process of installing a Super Systems, Inc. SuperData™
SCADA plant-wide data acquisition system. More capacity has also been
added recently to their Vacuum, Atmosphere and Aluminum departments.
A new Ipsen H5448-2Bar TurboTreater™ vacuum furnace
came online just in the last few months. Another 36x48x36 size
integral quench furnace has also been added along with additional tempering
capacity.
Stack also recently started up a new, consolidated Dry Coolers, Inc. water
cooling pumping station for
their Vacuum Heat Treating Department.
